Internet Sites to Visit
Evergreen Foundation.
http://www.evergreen.ca
A comprehensive resource with step-by-step planning information, articles from their newsletter, but best of all, reports from schools which have undertaken projects, including photos. Some of the school pages are very skimpy, but keep checking because some are very worthwhile.
National Wildlife Federation, Creating a Schoolyard Habitat.
http://www.nwf.org/nwf/habitats/schoolyard/creating/index.html.
Nice step-by-step planning guide. Links to other sites. I had trouble logging on the last time I tried this site.
Cal State University, Chico: Paul Maslin's page.
http://www.csuchico.edu/~pmaslin/nature/honature.html
A relatively small site, it does a great job of highlighting the Hooker Oak nature area project and showing the learning values of this project.
